Kocaeli and İzmit Bay: terminals and cargoes
The İzmit Bay has the densest cluster of industrial ports in Turkey: dozens of terminals and jetties serve container lines, steel mills, refineries, chemical plants and car factories within a short distance of each other.

What arrives and what leaves
The bay serves the industry of the Marmara region. Containers for İstanbul and Anatolia, scrap for the steel mills, crude oil for the refinery, chemicals and fertilizer raw materials come in. Steel products, fuels, chemicals and cars go out.

Practical notes
- The bay is long, and terminals on the north and south shores are far apart by road. Name the terminal in your request so the surveyor can plan the trip.
