About the data
Portiva lists companies that hold the status of international inspection body (Uluslararası Gözetim Kuruluşu, UGK) from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye. The Ministry publishes two lists:
- B type. Each company is authorized for specific chapters of the Turkish customs tariff, that is, kinds of cargo: for example 89 (ships and floating structures), 72 (iron and steel) or 27 (mineral fuels). Each listing shows these under “Ministry authorization”.
- A type. Companies accredited as inspection bodies. This list links to each company's accreditation scope instead of listing tariff chapters.
The listings use the B-type list dated 10 August 2026 and the A-type list dated 28 October 2026. A company's office address is not necessarily the only port it works in.
Services offered
Survey work such as draft surveys, bunker surveys, on/off-hire and damage surveys does not appear in the Ministry lists. A listing shows these only after the company has confirmed them to us.
What we show and what we don't
We show the company name, office location, authorization type and tariff chapters as published. Phone numbers are partly hidden until a company confirms its listing, to keep unsolicited calls away from personal mobiles.
Corrections and removal
Companies can confirm, correct or remove their listing through the company form or by email to info@portivaport.com.
How quote requests are passed on
A request goes to companies whose office or confirmed working ports include the requested port and whose authorization covers the cargo. Portiva does not take part in the contract between the client and the company.
